Sunday, November 15 - Core Value Winners

Students Meleah Riddle and Deskyshun Davis were the Core Value Winners for the first two weeks of November.  Also receiving the award was teacher Lila Grooms.  Dr. Cheryl Guy presented the awards on the Morning News Show. Student and teachers are encouraged to nominate based on the Core Values of Integrity, Empathy, Respect, Responsibility and Community.

Sunday, November 15 - Westwood's Got Talent

Congratulations to the winners of Westwood's Got Talent. In second place was Shawn Sebro who sang and played the guitar.  First place went to Trey Jackson who performed an original contemporary dance.  The winners were Will Ellis and Ashley Epperson who performed an original tap dance.

Sunday, November 15 - WH Maker Space Camp

On Saturday December 12, 9am - 12pm , while you do your holiday shopping, bring your child out for a day of fun and excitement! Edventure will be here teaching students to design "Minecraft" characters, create a cardboard zoo, and produce videos using a green screen. Not only that , for those students who have already entered the "maker" world, they can participate by showcasing their own designs and creations. Sunday, November 15 - Impact Aid Forms

​Parents: Please return the Impact Aid Form that was given to your son/daughter. They are due back to the school no later than December 18th.

Monday, November 16 - One Can Makes a Difference

The ONE CAN MAKES a DIFFERENCE campaign is on-going.  Student Senate is challenging students, teachers, staff members, parents, and community members to buy a extra CAN each time they go to the grocery store for the campaign. The cans will go to the school's backpack program and the the Christian Assistance Bridge of Blythewood.  Reuseable grocery bags are available for your cans and drop-off bins are in front of the school. Please stand with us and make a difference by donating ONE CAN at a time.

Sunday, November 22 - Miss Westwood Pageant

Congratulations to all the contestants and the winners from the Miss Westwood Pageant. The theme was "Once Upon a Time." The girls competed in an interview on Saturday morning as well as in casualwear and formalwear.  Seniors also presented their talent. Brooks Bayne was selected by her fellow contestants as Miss Congeniality and Briana Lewis won the talent award. First runner-up for the Underclassmen was Brooke Bayne and Miss Underclassman was Diamond DeLaRosa. Miss Senior was Brianna Brooks and Miss Westwood was Briana Lewis.

​Seniors - You need to sign up to receive graduation information now.  Text: 81010 / Message: @c31c3.  Herff - Jones will be on campus Thursday, December 3rd at lunch in the gym lobby to take orders for graduation supplies and class rings.

Monday, November 23 - Buy your PROM tickets NOW!

It is time to buy your PROM tickets NOW and save money.  The cost is $35.00 now through December. To buy tickets, you must have paid school fees. 

Monday, November 30 - Code for Watching Westwood Sports' Broadcast for FREE!

Redhawktv is broadcasting football games and basketball games.  As a member of Playon  Sports, there is a charge unless you have an account. The school has paid for these accounts for Redhawk supporters. To setup your account, go to - - then enter the CODE - GoRedhawks1516 and setup your account.  

Saturday, December 05 - After School Tutoring

After School Tutoring continues.  Tutoring is offered Tuesday and Thursday for Math and Tuesday and Thursday for Science.  All classes are in the Learning Commons (Media Center) from 4 - 5pm.
