Need Chromebook help?
Most Chromebook issues that do not involve physical damage to the device can be solved by troubleshooting. Our new Student Beak Squad has developed a troubleshooting guide (LINK: https://bit.ly/WHSCBHelp
) that may help resolve some common issues. Please refer to the link or slideshow below for detailed suggestions and solutions. Students, if you have The Nest
on your device, you can also access the troubleshooting guide from there. Note, the most common "fixes" are to update the Chrome browser, clear browsing data, and charge the device overnight.
The battery level of the Dell 3100 Chromebooks, should never be allowed to get below 25%. While at home or eLearning, it helps to keep your Chromebook plugged in. You may need to gently hold in the power button for 5 or more seconds to power your Chromebook on and you may need to retry this several times. The troubleshooting guide provides more information about power problems.
Once you have tried the troublshooting steps, if your problem is unresloved OR if there is physical damage to your Chromebook, OR you need a replacement charger, please do the following:
- Obtain a copy of this handout (linked below) from a teacher or from the folder on Ms. Hill's door, Office 421.
- Complete all steps on the document and tape it to your CB.
A Beak Squad member will pick up your CB during 2nd, 5th, 6th, or 7th. Expect a visit within 24 hours of the submission of your form.
