Teresa Mingo is Awarded 2025 SCASA Middle Level Principal
Richland School District Two is proud to announce that Teresa Mingo, principal of Longleaf Middle School, has been named the 2025 Middle Level Principal of the Year by the South Carolina Association of School Administrators (SCASA). This recognition marks the third consecutive year Richland Two has been home to a SCASA Principal of the Year.
Celebrating Leadership Excellence
Teresa Mingo has been the principal of Longleaf Middle School since 2020, following her extensive service as an assistant principal at multiple schools in Richland Two, including Longleaf, Muller Road Middle, and Blythewood Middle. Her background as a mathematics teacher, school counselor, and dean of students has equipped her with a multifaceted perspective on student success.
Mingo began her educational career in Rock Hill, South Carolina, and has continuously demonstrated a passion for creating environments where students and staff thrive. Since assuming her leadership role at Longleaf Middle, she has been instrumental in implementing innovative programs and fostering a culture of academic excellence and inclusivity.
She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and a Master of Education in Guidance and Counseling from Winthrop University, as well as a Master of Education and Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of South Carolina.
