Richland School District Two Celebrates Student Transportation Specialist of the Year
Benjamin Griffin III is the 2025–2026 Student Transportation Specialist of the Year for Richland School District Two. According to the district’s Transportation – Safety & Training Department, Griffin topped all drivers to claim the title.
Operating out of the Richland Northeast High School Bus Hub, Griffin earned the district's highest honor by demonstrating exceptional driving skills, commitment to safety, and a comprehensive knowledge of school bus procedures, guidelines, and laws. For his outstanding performance, he will receive a $500 check, a customized jacket or vest, a trophy, and a celebratory meal.
The department is also commending the Driver of the Quarter winners who competed in this year’s Driver of the Year Road-E-O. To qualify for a nomination, these drivers met strict prerequisites: maintaining a flawless record with zero accidents or moving violations within their nominated quarter and recording no more than two absences.
Driver of the Quarter Winners:

- 2nd Quarter: Emace Andrews (Activity Hub)
- 3rd Quarter: Eric Bishop (Killian Elementary School Hub)
- 4th Quarter: Benjamin Griffin III (Richland Northeast High School Hub)
(Each Driver of the Quarter receives a $250 check, a jacket or vest, a trophy, and a meal.)

“It is an opportunity to recognize the professionalism, dedication, and safety skills of the Transportation Specialist Team. Our drivers play a critical role in ensuring students arrive safely to and from school each day. We are incredibly proud of our winners and all participants who represented Richland School District Two with excellence, teamwork, and a strong commitment to student safety.”
