25-coaching

Five Richland Two coaches and athletic directors have been selected to participate in South Carolina’s inaugural “Tomorrow’s 25” sponsored by the South Carolina Athletic Coaches Association (SCACA) and the South Carolina High School League (SCHSL), in partnership with the Excellence in Coaching Project.

Garrett Knight, athletic director, Westwood High School; Matthew Oberly, cross country/track, Spring Valley High School; Brian Rosefield, athletic director, Ridge View High School; Josh Staley, basketball, Ridge View High School; and Cori Zimmerman, cheer, Spring Valley High School will participate in the 10- month fellowship with 20 athletic leaders from across South Carolina.

"We are incredibly proud of these five outstanding coaches and athletic directors who have been selected for the 'Tomorrow's 25' program. Their selection reflects the exceptional leadership and dedication that defines Richland Two's athletic programs,” said Superintendent Dr. Kim Moore. “This opportunity will not only support their professional growth but also highlights the remarkable talent we have within our district. These educators exemplify our commitment to developing not just student-athletes, but future leaders who will make a lasting impact in our schools and community."

Tomorrow’s 25 is the signature leadership program from the Excellence in Coaching Project. It is designed to invest in 25 coaches from across the state who have been deemed an emerging leader in high school and middle school athletics. Coaches were identified by a selection committee and represent the best the state has to offer.

The Excellence in Coaching project is a non-profit that seeks to elevate the work of coaches across the United States, and “Tomorrow’s 25” is its signature program - designed to partner with state coaching associations to intentionally invest in their emerging leaders.
