Catawba Trail Elementary Launches Trailblazer Community Lunch Bunch Tour

As teachers prepare to welcome students back for the 2026–2027 school year, Catawba Trail Elementary School is taking a unique approach to celebrating the educators who serve more than 650 students each day while strengthening relationships with local businesses through its Trailblazer Community Lunch Bunch Tour. Beginning at 11:05 a.m. on Wednesday, July 29, approximately 20 Catawba Trail Elementary teachers will visit five restaurants in the Village at Sandhill, enjoying signature menu samples while connecting with local business owners who have generously partnered with the school. 

Participating restaurants include:

● Moe’s Southwest Grill – serving crispy nachos with fresh salsa 

● Jersey Mike’s Subs – serving delicious mini subs 

● Yummi Crab – serving a savory seafood sampler 

● Red Robin – serving a flavorful signature appetizer 

● Marble Slab Creamery – serving a handcrafted scoop of premium ice cream 

Each stop will last approximately 10 minutes, providing teachers with an opportunity to experience a variety of local restaurants while celebrating the community partnerships that support public education.

We are incredibly grateful for these restaurant partners and the generosity they have shown in helping us kick off another exciting school year.” 

This year’s event reflects the school’s 2026–2027 theme, “Many Paths. One Trail. Endless Possibilities.” The tour serves as a reminder that meaningful partnerships between schools and local businesses help create thriving communities where students, educators, and families can flourish. 

In appreciation of their generosity, each participating restaurant will receive the 2026 Trailblazer Community Partner Award, recognizing their outstanding commitment to supporting educators and strengthening the Catawba Trail Elementary community.
