Friday, April 07 - Athletic Award Ceremony

Athletic Award Ceremony

The E.L. Wright Athletic Department will hold an end of the year award ceremony for all sports on Monday, April 24th at 6 pm in the E. L. Wright Cafeteria. All players and parents for all teams are invited to attend. We will have light refreshments available. Please contact Ms. Willingham for more information at​

Tuesday, April 04 - Cheerleading Information

Cheerleading Meeting for 2017-18 Squad

There will be an informational meeting for students interested in trying out for the 2017-2018 Cheerleading squad for E. L. Wright Middle School. The meeting will be on April 6th in Room 112 until 3:15 pm.

Parents there will be a meeting for you to attend on April 18th at 5:30 pm in the Multi-Purpose Room for information on tryouts. 

Tryout dates are as follows:

  • Practice: April 19th, 20th, 24th, and 25th from 2:45 to 5 pm
  • Tryouts: April 26th  2:45 to 4:45 pm

Just a reminder that you must have a physical on file or turned in prior to the first day of practice in order to participate.  ​

Monday, April 03 - Soccer Game Cancelled for Today

In an abundance of caution and due to the threat of severe weather, the soccer game today for E. L. Wright and Longleaf Middle School has been postponed until April 26th. ​

Thursday, March 23 - High School Registration for 8th Grade

Parents/guardians of 8th grade students:

High school registration will take place at EL Wright April 4th - 25th. The school counseling  staff will conduct Individual Graduation Plan (IGP) conferences for all students currently in the 8th grade during this time as well.  The South Carolina Education and Economic Development Act (EEDA) requires middle schools implement to an IGP for every 8th grade student.  Every student will choose a career cluster of interest. This IGP will be reviewed each year in high school. Your student has discussed career clusters with the Career Specialist at school.

Below you will find the dates each high school will be at E.L. Wright for high school registration. Your student will be given an appointment time a few days before their appointed high school visits our campus.  Please ask your student about this so that you can plan to be here for the IGP and high school registration appointment.  Magnet students will be scheduled towards the end of the session of the high school they will be attending.
