Dr. Jones, (TLM Medical Services) will provide sports physicals at Dent Middle School for anyone who is participating in trying out for sports during the 2015-2016 school term. The cost of the sports physical is $25.00. You can pay by cash or make checks payable to "TLM Medical Services". Digital Learning Day 2015 Set for Friday, March 13
Dent Middle School is excited to celebrate Digital Learning Day on Friday, March 13, 2015. On October 1, 2014 the Alliance for Excellent Education in conjunction with the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards announce that the fourth annual Digital Learning. “Since its debut in 2012, Digital Learning Day has been the premier event for showcasing how technology can improve student outcomes and support teachers,” said Bob Wise, president of the Alliance for Excellent Education and former governor of West Virginia.
Digital Learning Day at Dent will celebrate teachers, students, and shine a spotlight on successful instructional practice and effective use of technology in classrooms. The Dent Middle School students, faculty, and staff are excited to join students and educators across the country on this special day by opening up their classrooms to their peers and community to demonstrate the power of digital learning to transform their classrooms into dynamic 21st century learning labs.

Monday, February 09 - MathCounts Competition at USC
On Saturday, February 7th, Dent competed in the Chapter MathCounts competition at USC. Twelve students -- Hannah Cross, Sparsho De, Siri Avula, Daniel Gattman, Siddharth Gianey, Pranav Guntupalli, Amal Verma, Tyler White, Luke Zhang, Anthony Androulakis, Gracie Boyce, and Paul Dubberly--represented Dent with great pride and helped Dent extend our MathCounts season by earning a trip to STATE!
Overall, Dent placed second (Dutch Fork Middle School placed first) and qualified for the State MathCounts competition later in March (date and location yet to be finalized)! Individually, three students finished in the top 16 and competed in the Countdown Round; these students were Paul Dubberly (placed 4th overall), Pranav Guntupalli (placed 9th overall), and Amal Verma (placed 12th overall)! With these honors, Gracie Boyce, Paul Dubberly, Siri Avula, and Pranav Guntupalli (and 2 alternates yet to be named) will represent Dent at the State competition.

The Dent Blue Diamond Honor Choir invites you to attend our first annual Live Jazz and Blues Museum, Thursday, March 5th at 6:00 pm at Dent Middle School. Ticket admission will be $2.00. All proceeds go toward our Middle School Musical production in May.
The 7th and 8th grade Blue Diamond Choir will become Jazz and Blues artists from as early as the 1930’s to contemporary vocalists of our time. Please come and experience Jazz and Blues come to life at the Blue Diamond Jazz/Blues Museum.
