Parents and Supporters of Our School,
The close of the school year often brings many gifts and "thank yous'" to our teachers and staff -- all of which we deeply appreciate!
I wanted to remind you, though, that we have an easy way for you to contribute in a meaningful way that thanks a teacher and strengthens our work.
Our school, like many others, has an ongoing need for simple, basic school supplies. Nothing fancy – just copy paper, markers, hand sanitizer and the like. Our teachers often pay for these out of their own pockets. As you can imagine, that can become quite a burden.
For those of you wishing to thank a teacher, we’d ask that you to consider making a gift in a teacher’s honor that will help us prepare for next year’s students. To do so, simply go to our school’s website, look for the “Support Our School” button and make an online donation in your teacher’s honor.
You’ll be redirected to the website of South Carolina Future Minds, the non-profit that organizes private support for SC public schools. Please make sure that you've selected our school before making your donation.
Your contribution is tax-deductible, we accept credit cards and you’ll have the opportunity to make your contribution in honor of one or several specific teachers.
Thank you in advance if you choose to support us in this way. And have a great summer!
Spears Creek Road Child Development and Clemson Road Child Development have combined to form the Richland School District Two Child Development Program. Starting in the 2015–2016 school year, the program will offer needs-based, tuition-free 4-year-old child development classes. Students qualify for the program based on risk factors, free- or reduced-price-meal status, and developmental readiness. Children must be 4 years old on or before September 1, 2015. Contact Debbie Brady or Quinne Evans at 699.2536 for more information. The Montessori Magnet Program at Pontiac will continue to accept 3- and 4-year-old children. Services for 4-year-olds will not be tuition-based; tuition will be required for 3-year-olds.
