Game Day Rules
Game days offer a chance for staff, students, families, and community members to come together and support our student athletes. As part of our ongoing commitment to enhance safety and security measures, we've introduced the following entry protocol, Richland Two has implemented new procedures for these events.
This procedure applies to all sporting events occurring on the same day and at the same location as a varsity game.
Entry
- Richland Two has a clear bag policy for all varsity events and junior varsity events before varsity events.
- All district high school students must have a ticket and show their school student ID to attend a high school athletic competition at Richland Two without a parent/guardian. All students must enter through an identified student gate.
- If the visiting team is not a Richland Two school, students from that school must show their school ID and have a ticket in order to be able to attend the event without a parent/guardian.
- Anyone else under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian or responsible adult.
- Face coverings that completely cover a person’s face are not allowed.
- No diaper bags or camera bags are allowed.
During Games
- No one will be allowed to stand, congregate, or “hang out” on the concourse or around the concession stand areas during the game.
- No one will be admitted to the game after halftime. Entry gates will close at the end of halftime.
- Concession stands will close at the end of the third quarter.
- Spectators must stay at their seats except when they are going to the restrooms or to concession stands.
- Finally, please be reminded that once an individual has received clearance to enter the event, the individual will not be allowed to re-enter if they choose to leave at any time.
This proactive measure is part of the districts efforts to continue to improve and advance safety and security measures. This entry procedure will also be in effect for all sporting events that take place on the same day and the same location as a varsity sporting event.
- Individuals with tickets will be permitted to carry one clear tote bag, not to exceed 12” x 6 x 12” and a small clutch or wallet can be included in this clear tote if does not exceed 4.5” x 6.5”.
- A clear tote bag is not required in order to carry small permissible items such as keys, wallets, cell phones, credit cards, cash, etc., which should be carried in a pocket.
- Prohibited items include weapons, drugs, alcohol, tobacco and electronic cigarettes.
- Individuals with medical needs: If an individual cannot utilize a clear bag due to medical concerns, they will be required to speak with a designated gate administrator and the medical bag will be subject to search. All non-medical items must be placed in a clear 12” x 6 x 12” clear tote.
- No diaper bags or camera bags are allowed.
