Richland Two Centennial

Richland School District Two is celebrating 100 years of Learning, Leadership, and Legacy (1926–2026). The district kicked off its Centennial Celebration on Thursday, January 29, marked by the opening of the district’s historical museum.

The museum, showcasing Richland Two’s History of Excellence, is located in the historic Little Red Schoolhouse on the campus of Killian Elementary School, 2621 Clemson Road, Columbia, SC 29229. The museum opening launches a yearlong series of events commemorating the district’s centennial.

State Senator Tamika Isaac Devine presented the district with a Senate Resolution recognizing January 29, 2026 as “Richland School District Two Centennial Celebration Day” in South Carolina.

Current and former students, employees, community members, partners, and friends are encouraged to share memories by emailing 100years@richland2.org. Monetary donations to support the celebration may be mailed to the Richland Two Education Foundation, P.O. Box 292047, Columbia, SC 29229.

The Centennial Celebration will conclude with a Grand Celebration on Saturday, December 5, 2026, at the Richland Two Performing Arts Center, located beside the Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2), 763 Fashion Drive, Columbia, SC.
