Alliances
NERMA: Northeast Richland Ministerial Alliance
The Northeast Richland Ministerial Alliance (NERMA) is a voluntary group of representatives from various faith-based groups from all over the Richland Two footprint. The group is open to all churches, synagogues, seminaries, and other faith organizations interested in partnering with and supporting district students and schools. Examples of this support might include participation in the Weekend Backpack Program, collection of books for R2 Ready to Read, support and assistance for international teachers, giving feedback on initiatives when requested, and after school mentoring and tutoring programs.
The stated goals for the NERMA group are:
- Receive input and feedback on various Richland Two initiatives
- Share Information about Richland Two to be shared with congregations and faith communities
- Engage support for ongoing Richland Two programs
This group meets three to four times each year, and attendance with the group is voluntary.
BEA: Business & Education Alliance
The Richland Two Business and Education Alliance (BEA) is a collaborative and voluntary group of business and industry leaders, higher education representatives, community leaders, elected officials, and small business owners who come together two to three times each year. The group serves as a sounding board for initiatives, a partnering group for sponsorship and partnership needs, and as a conduit for information and opportunities for students and staff in Richland Two.
The BEA participates in the State of the District each fall, as well as the Partner Summit in the spring. These events ensure that BEA partners are aware of all that is happening in Richland Two and can serve as active connectors, sponsors and partners throughout the district.
Participation and attendance with the group is voluntary.
