ARTICLE I
The organization shall be called the Richland School District Two Teacher Forum.
ARTICLE II
The purpose of the Teacher Forum is to provide representation of teacher opinions about the teaching profession and educational issues and to impact the professional development of teachers.
ARTICLE III
1) The Richland School District Two Teacher Forum shall consist of the duly elected current and immediate past Teachers of the Year from each school. Each school is allowed one vote which will be cast by the current Teacher of the Year or his/her representative. The Forum meetings shall be open to all Richland School District Two teachers. New schools and/or programs shall send one representative. During Instructional Fair year the Teacher Forum consists of Teachers of the Year for the past three years.
2) The Chair of the Richland School District Two Teacher Forum shall be the immediate past district Teacher of the Year. The Vice-Chair shall be the current District Teacher of the Year. In the event either declines to serve as Chair or Vice-Chair, the Leadership Council shall elect a Chair and/or Vice-Chair from among the Honor Roll Teachers or past District Teachers of the Year.
3) The Teacher Forum Leadership Council shall consist of the Chair, Vice-Chair, the immediate past Chair, Honor Roll Teachers, teacher at large and a District Office Representative. The Leadership Council shall select the teacher-at-large representative. The Superintendent shall appoint the District Office Representative.
4) In the event of a resignation from a member of the Leadership Council, the Chair shall appoint a new member, with approval of the majority of the remaining members of the Leadership Council.
ARTICLE IV
The Constitution may be amended through two-thirds vote of the Forum members present, provided all members have been notified ten (10 days) in advance of the date of the meeting that a constitutional amendment is to be offered.
