Career Specialists
Richland Two has 26 career specialists who are funded through the EEDA (Education and Economic Development ACT). This program is designed to better prepare SC students for the workforce through early career planning. There are two Career Specialists at the high schools while the middle schools each have one. Richland Two also has four Career Specialists who rotate through our elementary schools to introduce careers and the 16 National Career Clusters. They are tasked with coordinating and presenting professional development opportunities for teachers. Career Specialists also support students in the exploration of career clusters and provide programs that allow students to learn more about those careers. Career fairs, job shadow opportunities, field studies and classroom speakers are utilized to further expose students to various careers.
College Information Specialists
Each high school in Richland Two has a College Information Specialist. These individuals help students prepare for the college admissions process. They help students and parents navigate the pipeline from high school to college. They support students by hosting test prep workshops, financial aid and scholarship workshops, college representative visits, college field trips and a variety of workshop topics for parents and students to participate in. College Information Specialists work with students throughout their high school career teaching them about the college going process.
