The Countdown Is On: Back to School Bash Returns August 1!
Richland Two kicks off the new school year with a morning of fun, family, giveaways, and everything students need to start the year strong.
The countdown to the first day of school is officially on! To celebrate the return of students and families, Richland School District Two is throwing the ultimate celebration: the 2026 Back to School Bash. This high-energy, resource-packed event will take place on Saturday, August 1, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. at the Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2), located at 763 Fashion Drive (right next to the Village at Sandhill).
The Bash is designed to be a one-stop-shop to help Richland Two families plug into crucial resources and kick off the year with total confidence. Attendees can look forward to:
- Free Backpacks & School Supplies: Distributed on a first-come, first-served basis to Richland Two students while supplies last.
- Free Sports Physicals: Provided on-site courtesy of the healthcare professionals at MUSC Health.
- Community & District Resources: Connect with vital programs, gather info, and enjoy a morning packed with fun, community spirit, and anticipation for the year ahead.
The new school year begins Wednesday, August 5. Sixth and ninth graders will get a head start on the year. They will have an opportunity to get familiar with their new school environments on Tuesday, August 4 during Step Up to Sixth and Fresh Start.
