Each year the Rotary Club of Blythewood offers multiple scholarships to graduating seniors in the 29016 zip code. We give these scholarships in memory of Rotarians from our club who have passed away in prior years. It is our way of remembering their contributions to the Blythewood Community and continuing their legacy. All components of the application must be complete for applicant to be considered.

Selection Criteria:

  • Need of Financial Assistance 40%
  • Scholastic Achievement 20%
  • Initiative and Motivation 20%
  • Volunteerism 20%

To be considered, the following items must be included in your application packet:

  • Completed scholarship application

  • Unofficial transcript copy

  • Letter of academic recommendation from a school representative or teacher

  • An essay (500 words or less, typed and double spaced) about a book or piece of literature that has affected  you and why

  • An acceptance letter from the school the student plans to attend

Incomplete applications/packets will not be considered.

Applications must be postmarked by Sunday, March 31, 2024 and mailed to:

Finalists will be notified for an interview. Winners will be honored with their families at a Rotary Club of Blythewood meeting in May. The breakfast meeting will be held from 7:30-8:30 AM at Columbia Country Club.
