MICHAEL J. LOWDER SCHOLARSHIP

The Richland School District Two Education Foundation Michael J. Lowder Scholarship was established in memory of Michael Lowder who was a graduate of Spring Valley High School  and Clemson University. All qualifying seniors attending a Richland School District Two high school who plan to attend Clemson University are eligible to apply for this $1500 scholarship. Applications will be accepted through March 31, 2024.

Deadline extensions will not be granted and incomplete applications will not be considered or reviewed.

  • Leadership

  • Volunteer Service

Application Requirements
To be considered, the following items must be uploaded with your application packet:

  • Completed scholarship application

  • Unofficial transcript copy

  • Letter of academic and leadership recommendation from a school representative or teacher

  • Letter of recommendation addressing volunteerism from a school or community representative

  • An essay (250 words or less, typed and double spaced) about a book or piece of literature that  has affected you and why

  • An acceptance letter from Clemson University
