AdvancED Accreditation Process
Every five years, school districts in South Carolina and around the country are accredited by an outside organization to ensure the highest levels of instruction and administration as well as provide valuable feedback for continuous improvement. In March 2017, Richland School District Two will be visited by a team from AdvancED as a culmination of this process.
A valuable portion of the AdvancED process comes from gathering feedback from our parents/legal guardians, students, and staff in the form of stakeholder surveys. We feel it is critical for you to be a part of this improvement process. To gather your feedback, we are inviting you to participate in an online survey between September 6 through October 22. Click on the button to the right to participate in the Parent/Legal Guardian Survey.
Taking the survey will provide us with important information to guide our decisionmaking process. In order to complete the survey, click on the PARENT/LEGAL GUARDIAN SURVEY link below. Be sure to select your student’s school and respond to the questions. If you have students at more than one school, you can complete a survey for each student at each school. Also, both parents/legal guardians can complete a survey for each student.
The survey results will enable our school and district office leaders to hear from stakeholders to inform improvement strategies, raise student achievement and strengthen our overall effectiveness. Taking the survey will also help stakeholders understand the AdvancED Standards for Quality Schools and provide a means for learning about what a parent/legal guardian, staff member or student may be looking for in a high-quality school.
If you have questions, please call 803.787.1910.
