Friday, December 18 - "A Christmas Carol" at The Farm at Ridgeway on December 18th & 19th. There will be two shows each evening at 6:30 pm & 8:30 pm.

As a fundraiser to help get to the Southeastern Theatre Conference, the cast of "Selection from Metamorphoses" will be presenting  "A Christmas Carol" at The Farm at Ridgeway on December 18th & 19th.  There will be two shows each evening at 6:30 pm & 8:30 pm. Tickets are $7 in advance/$10 at the door.  Tickets will go on sale at the Blythewood High School front office on December 7th.

The Blythewood High School Drama Department's production of "Selections from Metamorphoses" won first place at the South Carolina Theatre Association's High School One-Act Play Festival.  Blythewood High School also won Best Sound Design for Kyle Brown and JaRon Brown's original score and Best Director for Sandra Dietel's direction of the production.
Seniors Erin Cooper and Meagan Kiser were recognized for excellence in acting by being named to the state "All Star Cast".

This first place finish qualifies Blythewood High School's cast and crew to represent South Carolina at the Southeastern Theatre Conference.  The top two plays from each of the ten states in the region are invited to perform and compete at the conference.

Tuesday, December 01 - Information coming soon about the $1500 Parks Hutto Memorial Athletic Scholarship

This scholarship was established and is funded by Sabine Lang in memory of Parks Hutto who passed away when he was a rising freshman at Blythewood High School. Parks was a talented member of the varsity golf team since he was a 7th grader and was also an accomplished baseball player.

The scholarship will be awarded to a graduating senior who has participated in sports at BHS at the junior varsity or varsity level.  Strength of character and a disciplined work ethic are key components of the scholarship criteria. More information about the scholarship will be forthcoming in January 2016.

Sunday, November 01 - Flames of Hope VIRTUAL 5K.

The Bengal Transition classes at Blythewood High School will be hosting a Virtual 5K to raise money for the Richland School District Two families who were impacted by the recent flooding.  We’re proud of our students for their dedication to our community and are excited about this opportunity for them to have a hands-on, real world learning experience. This project also supports Richland School District Two’s theme for the year, “Game On!” (#TeamTwoGameOn). Show your Bengal Pride by supporting this great cause and inviting members of our community to support it, too! Virtual 5K runners are encouraged to tweet and post pictures using the #FlamesOfHope tag to show their support for those who have been affected by the flooding. Game On, Bengals!
