Students if you’re interested in a medical career - LISTEN UP. The district has a new MED Two program that gives ALL high school students opportunities to get in-depth information about the health care profession. From medical assisting to pharmacy, phlebotomy, and dentistry, students will learn what many medical jobs require and how much they pay. The evening courses and seminars will be held at Ridge View High School starting Nov. 1st. The first three-part series focuses on pediatrics. Thursday, October 20 - Last day to pay your Computing Device Protection Plan is Thursday, October 20th!
If you have been issued a Chromebook this school year, then the Computing Device Protection Plan of $20 was added to your account. The protection plan is the district’s insurance plan for the device. It covers the 1st incident of accidental damage or theft with a required police report. The deadline to pay this in full is October 20, 2016.
If the protection plan is not paid by October 20, 2016, you may continue to use your Chromebook; however, if the device is damaged, lost or stolen, you will be responsible for the full cost of repair or replacement even in cases of theft with a police report.Full Replacement Cost of a Chromebook for loss, theft or in cases where damage is so severe that repair is not cost effective is $310.05A major repair charge for damage to the screen or system board is $150A minor repair charge for damage to all other components, including broken plastics is $75A lost or damaged power adapter is $25Again, having the paid $20 protection plan in place covers the first incident of any of these listed repairs at no additional charge.If you have not paid your protection plan, we urge you to take care of this obligation as soon as possible.Fees may be paid at Blythewood High School’s Main Office or online through Parent Portal.
Thursday, August 11 - 10 point grading scale information.
In April 2016, the State Board of Education unanimously voted to implement a 10-point grading scale effective in the 2016–2017 school year across the state for high school credit courses. The 10-point grading scale will replace the 7-point grading scale. Richland Two will adopt the 10-point grading scale for Grades 2-12 beginning in 2016–2017.
