Earlier this week, the Blythewood High Tennis Programs accepted a check from Mrs. Aggie Davis in the amount of $17,000.  $5000 of the money will be awarded to a male BHS tennis player in the form of a college scholarship.  Another $5000 scholarship will be awarded to a female BHS tennis player.  The student recipients will be determined by an application process and named in the school's All Awards Ceremony in May 2013.  The remaining $7000 will be used for equipment and supplies for the Boys and Girls Tennis Teams.  The funds are being donated to BHS by Mrs. Davis in memory of her late husband, Rhett Davis.  The proceeds were raised through the annual Rhett Davis Memorial Tennis Tournament.  Pictured from left to right are Vince Lowry (BHS Athletic Director), Brenda Warnow (BHS Boys Tennis Coach), Aggie Davis, Nick Hendrix (BHS Girls Tennis Coach), and Keith Price (BHS Principal).

Congratulations to Blythewood High School for receiving the 2011-2012 Region 4-AAAA Sportsmanship Award.  Blythewood High School was recognized at the SCHSL AAAA Fall Meeting earlier this week.
