Chromebooks & Repairs
MOST Chromebook issues that do not involve physical damage to the device can be solved by troubleshooting. Please refer to this document - https://bit.ly/CB_Trouble
for detailed suggestions and solutions. The most common "fixes" are to uninstall extensions and/or a VPN, update the Chrome browser, clear browsing data, and charging the device overnight.
The new model Chromebooks, Dell 3100, are very "finicky" about charging and powering on. Make sure that you never allow the battery level to get below 25%. If you are eLearning, it helps to keep your Chromebook plugged in all day. Definitely charge it every night! You may need to gently hold in the power button for 5 or more seconds to power your Chromebook on and you may need to retry this several times. Look in the troubleshooting document for more information about power problems.
