Schools to dismiss early Feb. 6

Richland School District Two will dismiss schools and centers early today Thursday, February 6, 2020. The decision is based on the potential for severe weather and unsafe travel conditions this afternoon. The forecast is calling for possible sustained winds at or above 30 mph, strong thunderstorms and tornadoes. The decision to dismiss early helps to ensure that Richland Two students, parents and staff are safely off the roadways before the severe weather is expected to impact our area.

• Middle schools will dismiss at 12:30 p.m.

• Elementary schools will dismiss at 1:15 p.m. 

• High schools will dismiss at 2 p.m.

In addition, all after-school activities, events and programs in Richland Two for Thursday, February 6, have been canceled. This includes after-school child care, athletic/fine arts and other extracurricular activities, events and programs, adult education classes, etc.
