Richland Two School Board Meeting Highlights
Student Focus: Westwood’s Makerspace
Westwood High Principal Cheryl Guy and Teacher Pam Davis gave an overview of the school’s Makerspace. Students D.J. Fields, Jeremiah Scott, and Eamon Wood and Sharon Lewellen, a teacher at Westwood High, shared their positive experiences with the unique classroom that sparks innovation.
Special Recognitions
Teachers who received their National Board Certification or renewal of their National Board Certification were recognized by the board.
The district paid special tribute to our board members. Across the nation, January is celebrated as School Board Recognition Month. The theme of this year’s celebration, “School Boards Stand Up 4 SC Public Schools,” recognizes the important roles school boards play in promoting and advocating for quality education. This month, we honor the year-round commitment that our school board members make to our district and the community.
