Hurricane Florence Update: Richland Two schools/offices still closed, will provide free meals during
9/12/2018
Our schools and district offices remain closed until further notice. As we shared with you earlier this week, Governor Henry McMaster issued an order to close public schools and state government offices in multiple counties as the state prepares for possible landfall of Hurricane Florence. Richland County remains under that order.
Richland Two will serve bag lunches at Dent Middle and Ridge View High to Richland Two students while schools are closed on Thursday and Friday from 11 a.m.-1 p.m.
Dent Middle is located at 2721 Decker Blvd, Columbia, SC 29206. Ridge View High is located at 4801 HardScrabble Rd, Columbia, SC 29229
District officials continue to monitor the forecasted path of Hurricane Florence and stay in contact with county and state emergency officials regarding the potential impact on our area. Weather forecasts indicate possible severe weather in our area over the weekend and into early Monday morning. This may impact our school schedule next week.
We will provide any updates on changes to our current status and future schedule as soon as possible after district officials receive new information. Please continue to monitor your email and the district's website for updates.
