Richland Two resumes normal operating schedule on Monday, September 17, 2018

9/16/2018

Richland School District Two schools and district offices will resume a normal operating schedule beginning tomorrow, Monday, September 17, 2018. Schools will start at their normal times, and buses will run on their regular schedules. All before- and after-school activities will resume on their normal schedules as well.

The Red Cross Shelter at Ridge View will be closed by this afternoon.

Sodexo, the company that operates the district’s Food Service program, will have to modify menus this week. Breakfast will not be served on Monday except for the elementary schools (Jackson Creek, Keels, Conder and Windsor) that provide breakfast in the classroom. Breakfast will resume at all schools on Tuesday. Hot lunches will be served beginning Monday, but the menus will be modified. Thank you for being patient with the modified menus as our cafeterias resume receiving regular orders from vendors.

We know everyone is wondering about make-up days. State law requires us to make up three days before any days can possibly be forgiven. District administrators are reviewing options that would allow our students and teachers to recover a majority of the missed instructional time during the first semester. As soon as the make-up days are finalized, we will share that information.

Again, all Richland Two schools and offices will resume a normal schedule on Monday, September 17.
