Richland Two employees raise more than $128,000 for United Way of the Midlands

11/18/2018

Employees of Richland School District Two completed its annual United Way campaign where employees contributed more than $128,720.

“Richland Two is a valued partner of United Way, and we thank each employee for their support to improve the lives of our youth,” said United Way of the Midlands President & CEO Sara Fawcett. “Their investments allow us to continue the fight to prevent homelessness, prepare children to enter kindergarten ready to learn and graduate high school on time and provide affordable eye and dental care to those without resources.”

The Richland Two employee campaign was led by Shelley Kriegshaber, Richland Two’s Partnerships and Events Coordinator. This year’s campaign saw a successful increase of 15 percent in the average donation and a 29 percent increase in funds raised through special events.

“It warms my heart to know that our Richland Two family continues to lead the way in United Way giving,” said Dr. Baron Davis, Richland Two District Two’s Superintendent. “We are proud to be able to support a community cause where our students and families are the direct beneficiaries and we are able to help them live better, healthier lives.”

Thanks to partners like Richland Two, United Way is leading the charge to improve the quality of life in the Midlands by working to prevent homelessness, to provide affordable eye and dental care and to prepare children to enter kindergarten ready to learn and graduate high school on time.
