Richland Two Superintendent receives distinguished evaluation

On Tuesday, September 18, 2018 the Richland School District Two Board of Trustees met to conduct the superintendent’s performance evaluation for Dr. Baron Davis.
This annual evaluation is required by board policy and by the district’s employment agreement with the superintendent. During executive session of the special called meeting, board members assessed Dr. Davis’ performance in the areas of Policy and Governance; Planning and Assessment; Instructional Leadership; Organizational Management; Communications and Community Relations; and Professionalism.
Following executive session, the board reconvened in public session to take action. As a result of an overall distinguished evaluation for the 2017–2018 school year, the board approved a motion to extend Davis’ contract with the district by one year, to June 30, 2021, and to increase the contribution to his annual annuity by 2.5 percent effective September 30, 2019.
After the meeting Board Chair Amelia McKie said, “On behalf the Board, I commend Dr. Davis on a job well done. Dr. Davis has exceeded our expectations and then some. We are thankful and proud to have him at the helm of Richland Two. His commitment to excellence in teaching and learning is unparalleled.”
