Regularly Scheduled Board Meeting and Public Input Session on Budget

The Richland School District Two Board of Trustees will hold a regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 2, 2017.
 
The Richland Two Board of Trustees will also hold the final public hearing on the proposed 2017-2018 General Fund budget on Tuesday, May 2, prior to its regularly scheduled meeting.

The hearing will begin at 5 p.m. at the Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2), located at 763 Fashion Drive in the Village at Sandhill.

The proposed budget includes a 4.97 mill increase. The district’s proposed projected revenues and expenditures for the FY 2017-2018 budget are estimated to be $273,912,590. The estimated increase in revenues and expenditures for the FY 2017-2018 budget is 4.99 percent above the FY 2016-2017 budget. The dollars required from Richland County for the next fiscal year’s proposed budget are estimated to be $147,354,353, which include funds for state property tax relief.

All board meetings are open, and the public is encouraged to attend.

Immediately following the public hearing, the board will convene in executive session to discuss student, personnel, contractual and legal matters. Public session will resume at 7 p.m. The board is expected to vote on the budget during the second half of the meeting.
