RVHS, JKES receive Active Schools Awards

Ridge View High and Joseph Keels Elementary receive Let’s Move! Active Schools National Awards from the Alliance for a Healthier Generation. This national award recognizes their efforts in creating an active school environment. These schools have met significant benchmarks in five areas: physical education; physical activity before and after school; physical activity during school; staff involvement; and family and community engagement.

RVHS and JKES join 23 other South Carolina schools receiving this national award. The Let’s Move! Active Schools National Award is the nation’s top physical education and physical activity distinction for K-12 schools. Let’s Move! Active Schools is part of First Lady Michelle Obama’s Let’s Move! initiative and the Alliance for a Healthier Generation’s Healthy Schools Program is a founding partner.
