POLO ROAD GAINS RECOGNITON FOR DEVELOPING FUTURE LEADERS

6/10/2020

COLUMBIA, S.C. — Polo Road Elementary School is making high marks in developing future leaders. The school has earned 2020 National Beta School of Merit status. The National Beta School of Merit award is given to honor a club’s dedication and commitment to academic excellence. To achieve this prestigious honor, a school must include members from all eligible grade levels in their Beta club. All fourth and fifth grade students at Polo Road were given an opportunity to participate in National Beta to get involved in leadership development and service involvement.
Polo Road Elementary Principal Dr. Cassandra Bosier said the recognition reflects the school’s steadfast commitment to developing student leaders and providing meaningful opportunities to give back through community engagement and service. "I am #POLOPROUD of this recognition at so many levels! Most importantly, I am proud that we made an intentional decision this year to recognize all of our eligible student scholars, at the national level, for all of their hard work and dedication to academic excellence,” said Dr. Bosier. Last November, Polo Road Elementary inducted nearly 60 students into the National Junior Beta Club. These students were selected based upon their cumulative GPAs and their outstanding reputations of character, leadership, achievement, and service.
