POLO ROAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RECEIVES ONE OF THE HIGHEST HONORS IN EDUCATION
POLO ROAD ELEMENTARY SCHOOL RECEIVES ONE OF THE HIGHEST HONORS IN EDUCATION
7/1/2021
Polo Road Elementary School has been named a 2021 Blue Ribbon Beacon School. According to Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence, Polo Road Elementary principal Dr. Cassandra Bosier and her team have successfully engaged their entire community in identifying and building on strengths and overcoming learning challenges.
"This award reflects our seriousness about our intentional journey of continuous improvement as we embody our vision of exploring all options, navigating through challenges and discovering new pathways of success for all of our students. We are so grateful that the Blue Ribbon Schools of Excellence team played a critical role in helping us to actualize this leg of our journey,” Dr. Bosier said. “I am POLOPROUD of our staff, students, parents and community who help make Polo Road Elementary a PREMIER place to work, learn and grow!"
The National Blue Ribbon Schools Program began in 1982. It recognizes public and private elementary, middle, and high schools based on their overall academic excellence or their progress in closing achievement gaps among student subgroups. Polo Road was evaluated in the following nine performance categories and had to score at least an 80 percent positive rate in each category to receive the award: Student Focus and Support; School Organization and Culture; Challenging Standards and Curriculum; Active Teaching and Learning; Technology Integration; Professional Community; Leadership and Educational Vitality; School, Family, and Community Partnerships; and Indicators of Success.
As it seeks to make more improvements in other focus areas, Polo Road will continue working with the Blue Ribbon team. The Blue Ribbon Beacon award will be presented during the Blue Ribbon Schools Conference in Orlando, Florida in December.
