OUTDOOR WI-FI ZONES
OUTDOOR WI-FI ZONES
4/22/2020
Richland Two now offers outdoor Wi-Fi zones for our students to connect to the Internet using their district-issued Chromebook or a personal device.
Supporting students during the school closure is the district's main focus right now. In addition to providing e-learning/remote learning content for students and meals for children, Richland Two administrators have been committed to helping families who do not have Internet access at home. District staff members have explored several possibilities over the past two weeks. As a result of some premier teamwork, wireless equipment has been installed outside of several schools. Now families can park their cars in the designated locations, connect to the Internet and access their students' e-learning assignments. The outdoor Wi-Fi zones will be accessible seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 7 p.m.
Click here to access specific details on locations and directions for connecting your device.
Are you looking for information on how you can get Internet service at your home?
Please note Richland Two is only providing the following as information for our families, not as an endorsement of the companies affiliated with the information. Spectrum has a promotion running for households with K-12 students and/or college students that currently DO NOT have a Spectrum Internet account. These households can open a new account by calling 1-844-488-8395. As part of this new account, Spectrum will give free Internet access up to 100Mbps for 60 days, and will waive installation fees. After 60 days, the households will be charged for the service plus any applicable equipment rental fees and taxes. Cell phones can be used as mobile Wi-Fi hotspots by contacting your service provider. Fees and service rates vary depending on your service providers.
