3/1/2019

Longleaf Middle School orchestra teacher Destinee Chrobak has been named the February Rookie Teacher of the Block. The award is sponsored by H&R Block, a dedicated partner of the district.

Chrobak has become an essential and visible member of the LMS team, according to principal Robert Jackson. She is always willing to help in whatever capacity is needed.

“This phenomenal educator has made a profound difference at our school, exemplifies the standard of excellence desired, and has positively impacted our students and community,” Jackson wrote in her nomination.

RTOTB winners receive a plaque to hang outside their door, a Kindle Fire for their personal use and a unique trophy designed by the 3D Printing class at the Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2). Past winners are Jaron Roberson (Dent Middle), Emily McElveen (Muller Road Middle), Brett Frye (Round Top Elementary) and Davis Bowers (Bookman Road Elementary).
