HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH CELEBRATION OCTOBER 6

10/5/2022

Richland School District Two is observing National Hispanic Heritage Month. Since Sept. 15, the district has been paying tribute to Hispanic Americans who have positively influenced and enriched American society via social media posts. An exhibit celebrating Hispanic culture and heritage is on display in the lobby of the Richland Two Institute of Innovation (R2i2) located at 763 Fashion Drive, Columbia, S.C.

As we near the end of this monthly celebration, the district invites Richland Two families, community members, staff and media to the Hispanic Heritage: Parade of Nations at R2i2 on Thursday, October 6, 2022 at 6 p.m.

Come and experience, presentations prepared by students and staff from the district’s schools. A parade will celebrate several Hispanic regions: Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, Equatorial Guinea, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Panama, Puerto Rico and Venezuela. Food tastings and a limited number of treat bags will be available. This event is free and open to the public. National Hispanic Heritage Month runs from September 15 to October 15 annually.

COVID-19 safety precautions will be in place. Masks are optional.
