Faculty Focus: 
AP U.S. Government teacher Patrick Kelly from Blythewood High School shared his experience serving as a Teaching Ambassador Fellow for the U.S. Department of Education.  Patrick shared what he has been doing as a Fellow and how the experience has influenced his instruction and professional development.

Voting Item: Contractual Matter Regarding the Sale of Property

The board voted to authorize the Superintendent to execute (1) a Title to Real Estate and (2) a Right of Entry Agreement on behalf of the District, in the forms presented to the Board previously, agreeing to sell property near Farrow Road and Kelly Mill Road to the South Carolina Department of Transportation in connection with its road widening project, for a purchase price of $10,575, with the agreements to be publicly available after the contracts have been executed.

Report: Building Capacity for Data Use
Members of the Systematic Use Planning Team presented information to the board regarding the district’s systematic use of data to assess, track and improve student achievement.

Proposal: 8 Percent Capital Improvements FY 2016-2017


Chief Financial Officer Harry Miley presented a list of projects to be funded through 8 Percent Funds. The recommended projects total $9,997,998.
