FOREST LAKE ELEMENTARY HOSTS FAREWELL TOUR
FOREST LAKE ELEMENTARY HOSTS FAREWELL TOUR
3/9/2022
For one night only, community members and former students who would like to say their goodbyes to Forest Lake Elementary NASA Explorer School can do so next month. The old school, built in 1957, will be demolished soon to make way for a new $48 million facility that will address safety and security needs and make improvements that support teaching and learning. In 2018, voters overwhelmingly approved a $468 million bond referendum to fund the construction of the new school and other facility needs.
The doors of the school will open April 2, 2022 for a drop-in from 3 p.m. – 6 p.m. for those who would like to take one last walk through the halls and visit classrooms to reminisce and say a final farewell.
Forest Lake is located at 6801 Brookfield Road, Columbia SC 29206.
