Voting Item: Consent Agenda
As part of the consent agenda, the board received a technology report with updates on Instructional Technology and Professional Development, Infrastructure and Support, and Business Systems.

Student Focus: High School Holiday Giving Projects
Students from each high school shared an overview of their school’s holiday giving project. 
 
Holiday Projects: 
Ridge View: Winter Wishes on December 9, 2015 - 9:30 a.m.
Blythewood: Holiday Wishes on December 11, 2015 - 9:00 a.m.
Richland Northeast: Hope 365 on December 14, 2015 - 10:00 a.m.
Westwood: Wishes of Westwood on December 17, 2015 - 1:00 p.m.
Spring Valley: Winter Days on December 18, 2015 - 9:00 a.m.

Voting Item: Policy KFA/KFA-R (Open Community Use of School Recreational Areas)
The board voted to approve Policy KFA and Administrative Rule KFA-R – (Open Community Use of School Recreational Areas) as submitted.

Report: Board Self-Assessment
SCSBA Director of Leadership Development Gwen Hampton provided an overview of the Board Self-Assessment Process.

Proposal: Calendar for SY 2016-2017
Chief Communications Officer Libby Roof presented the proposed 2016-2017 School Calendar for review.

Report:  College and Career Readiness (CATE/AVID)
Mary Paige Boyce, Director of College and Career Initiatives, shared updates on AVID and Career and Technology Education (CATE) Programs in Richland School District Two.

Report: Magnet Transportation Pilot Study
Chief Financial Officer Harry Miley, Chief Operations Officer Jack Carter and Director of Planning Will Anderson presented the results of the Magnet Transportation Pilot Study to the board. This study was done to explore options for the district to provide transportation for students to attend magnet programs outside of their zoned school. Currently, students enrolled in magnet programs outside of their zoned school must provide their own transportation to the school that houses their chosen magnet.

Report: Comprehensive Annual Financial Report for the Year Ending June 30, 2015
Matthew Hodges and Larry Montague from Burkett, Burkett and Burkett presented an overview of the 2014–2015 Comprehensive Annual Financial Report to the board.
