DISTRICT NAMES SENIOR CHIEF OFFICER FOR COMMUNICATIONS

12/8/2022

At its regularly scheduled meeting Tuesday, November 29, 2022, the Richland School District Two Board of Trustees approved the hiring of Greg Turchetta as the district’s new Senior Chief Officer for Communications. Turchetta currently serves as the Executive Director of Marketing and Media for Florida South Western State College in Ft. Myers, Florida.
“I am very excited to join the Richland Two family and lead the district in its efforts to strengthen and grow our community connections, continue to improve our communications tools and techniques, and further showcase the premier learning experience and opportunities offered to our students each and every day,” said Turchetta.

Turchetta has an extensive background in digital marketing and media strategy. He served four years as the Executive Director of Communications and Community Engagement in Collier County Public Schools. He has also held positions as news director, assistant news director and executive producer at various television stations in Texas, Florida, Georgia and Washington.

“We are excited to welcome Greg Turchetta to the Richland Two family,” said Superintendent Dr. Baron R. Davis. “He is a passionate storyteller and we look forward to his leadership as we continue to elevate the stories about the innovations and successes of our students and staff we share with the community.”

He will officially take the helm in Richland Two on Monday, January 9, 2023. Turchetta is replacing Elizabeth “Libby” Roof who transitioned to Lexington School District One in November.

Turchetta holds a Bachelor of Arts in communications from Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida and a Master of Science in management and leadership from Western Governors University in Salt Lake City, Utah.

He is married with three children.
