Budget Hearing Session
As part of the 2017–2018 General Fund budget development process, the board hosted a public hearing session. This session provided the community an opportunity to share their input on budget priorities and allocation for the upcoming school year.
Student Focus
Bookman Road Elementary School highlighted ways students contribute to the school and surrounding community through community service. This is reflected in the school's new vision statement: To develop Beacons who "light the way" in personal character, academics, and community service.

Voting Item: General Fund Budget for 2017-2018
The board voted unanimously to approve the recommended 2017–2018 General Fund Budget. On behalf of the board, Richland Two administrators will submit the proposal to Richland County Council for final approval of the district’s budget request.
The projected revenues and expenditures for the FY 2017-2018 budget are estimated to be $273,912,590. The estimated increase in revenues and expenditures for the FY 2017-2018 budget is 4.99 percent above the FY 2016-2017 budget. The dollars required from Richland County for the next fiscal year’s proposed budget are estimated to be $147,354,353, which requires a 4.97 mill increase based on the value of a mill as set by the county.
