BOARD CANDIDATE FORUM TAKING PLACE MONDAY, OCTOBER 3

The Richland Two Teacher Forum, in partnership with the League of Women Voters, will host a Board Candidate Forum from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, October 3, 2022. The event will take place at the Spring Valley High School auditorium located at 120 Sparkleberry Lane, Columbia, SC 29229. Seats can be reserved using this link:

to hear the opinions and positions of Richland Two's Board of Trustees candidates.
Twelve candidates are running to fill four positions. The candidates are Dr. Teresa Holmes (incumbent), James Mobley, McGee Moody, Angela Nash, Nikita “Niki” Porter, Darrel “DS” President Sr., Eric Rovelli, Larry J. Smalls, Terrance E. Staley, Joe Trapp, Tamika Shuler Washington, and Maryann Wright.
Board incumbents whose terms expire in November, Dr. Cheryl Caution-Parker, James Manning, and Amelia McKie, are not seeking re-election.
The Teacher Forum consists of Richland Two Teachers of the Year. The Forum provides representation of teachers' opinions on the teaching profession and on educational issues. The Forum also seeks to positively impact the professional development of teachers.
The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan citizen organization that neither supports nor opposes candidates for public offices. The League of Women Voters Education Fund supports Vote 411, a website committed to ensuring that voters have the information they need to successfully participate in elections.
