Voting Item: Consent Agenda
As part of the consent agenda, the board received a technology report with updates on Instructional Technology and Professional Development, Infrastructure and Support, and Business Systems.

Special Recognitions
Students, schools, staff and board members were recognized for their achievements. 

Student Focus: Blythewood High School
Student leaders shared a brief presentation highlighting Blythewood High School, its students and faculty. Included in the presentation was a video showcasing the accomplishments and talents of many members of Bengal Nation. The students also shared future plans for celebrating the 10th anniversary of the opening of the school.

Voting Item: Superintendent's Evaluation
On Thursday, August 20, and Monday, August 24, 2015, the Richland School District Two Board of Trustees met to conduct Superintendent Debra Hamm’s performance evaluation. This annual evaluation is required by board policy and by the district’s employment agreement with the superintendent.

In the New Business portion of the August 25 meeting, Chair James Manning shared that Hamm received an overall commendable evaluation. In light of this evaluation, the majority of the board voted to extend Hamm's contract for an additional year.

Executive Director of Administrative Services Cleveland Smith presented an update from the Discipline Task Force.

Assistant Superintendent Dr. Baron Davis and Executive Director of Operations Jack Carter presented a report on the completion of summer courses, new staff additions and the progress of the facility.
