Assistant principal named best in state

Langford Elementary School Assistant Principal Dr. Twanisha Garner is the 2020 SCASA Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year.
“We are excited to announce that Dr. Twanisha Garner has been named the SCASA Elementary Assistant Principal of the Year,” said Beth Phibbs, executive director of the South Carolina Association of School Administrators. “She is an outstanding leader who is well respected and valued by the students, parents, faculty, and staff of Langford Elementary School.”
Langford Elementary School Principal Kaseena Jackson said, “As an instructional leader at Langford Elementary, Dr. Garner supports teachers as they educate future leaders. She champions our school’s commitment to providing personalized authentic learning experiences for all students. The entire Langford Elementary family benefits from her dedication to building community and creating a positive environment for teaching and learning.”
Richland School District Two Superintendent Dr. Baron R. Davis added, “Dr. Garner is a dedicated educator who motivates all members of the school family to cultivate an instructional environment that is focused on continuous improvement and high academic achievement for all students. She strives daily to give all students and teachers opportunities to maximize their gifts and talents as they pursue their pathways to purpose.”
