After-school activities canceled for Thursday, Feb. 6
Richland School District Two is canceling all after-school activities on Thursday, February 6. The decision is based on the potential for severe weather and unsafe travel conditions on Thursday afternoon. The forecast is calling for possible sustained winds at or above 30 mph, strong thunderstorms and tornadoes.
We continue to monitor weather conditions and MAY need to dismiss school early on Thursday. We encourage families to begin making plans for this possibility. However, no decision about early dismissal has been made at this time. School will start at the normal time on Thursday. If we have to dismiss school early on Thursday, parents will be notified via the district’s mass notification system. An announcement will also be posted on our district website and reported to local news stations.
Again all after-school activities, events and programs in Richland Two for Thursday, February 6, have been canceled. This includes after-school child care, athletic/fine arts and other extracurricular activities, events and programs, adult education classes, etc.
