2020-2021 FREE AND REDUCED LUNCH MEAL APPLICATIONS NOW AVAILABLE

8/7/2020

Families, the USDA waivers that allowed Richland Two to provide meals to all families are expiring soon! On August 6th, deliveries of meals to the community sites ended. Through August 20 meals will still be served 10:30 a.m. - 12:30 p.m. at Bethel-Hanberry, Bridge Creek, Joseph Keels, North Springs, Polo Road and Rice Creek elementary schools, and Dent and Longleaf middle schools. After August 20, the district will no longer be able to provide free meals to all students.

No meals will be served the following week of August 24. On August 31, the first day of school, the district will begin our Phase 1 Meal Plan. It’s very important that families who qualify for free and reduced price meals apply for this status. Students who attended schools in Richland Two in 2019-2020 and received free/reduced price meals MUST complete a new application for eligibility of extended benefits each school year. If you do not reapply, all meal prices will automatically change to full price.

The quickest and easiest way to submit applications is to use the new Richland Two online application. Click here to see the status of an application you've already submitted. The online application can be translated into Spanish.

As a reminder, families have to apply every year. Please visit the Free and Reduced Meal application page to read the parent letter, download the paper application, get instructions on filling out the application and for Spanish documents.
