Lake Carolina Elementary Lower Campus
Home FAQs

Here are some answers to commonly asked questions.

Is this a uniform school?

Yes, Lake Carolina Elementary has been a uniform school since it opened in 2002. Parents are surveyed each year and they have chosen to keep uniforms each year.

The following items of clothing are acceptable for uniform:
Bottoms (pants, shorts, skirts, shorts, jumpers) should be khaki or navy blue. Shorts should be below mid- thigh length or "walking length".

Shirts may be worn in the following colors: hunter green, navy blue, burgundy, or white. Polo shirts, blouses, turtlenecks, and other shirts with collars may be worn. Shirts should be plain, solid colors and should not have any type of logo on them unless it is the Lake Carolina Elementary logo or school approved. It is preferred that shirts be tucked in at all times.

Every Friday is a "Non-Uniform" dress day.

Can I park in the parking lot and drop off my child?

In an effort to keep students, faculty and staff safe, please do not use the parking lot to drop off your student. All students should be dropped off in the car rider line. The line is constantly moving and has staff outside to assist when needed. When your car stops, students may exit the car along the curb.

What time does school start and dismiss?

The new times for this year are: 7:40-2:30. Students may not be dropped off before staff is on duty to supervise students and outside at 7:10am.

Can I pick up my child without a car rider tag?

All parents are required to have an updated car rider tag clearly displayed in the windshield (passenger side preferred) with the student's name. If you do not have a car rider tag, you will be asked to park and provide a state issued ID. Staff will then verify that you are an approved person to pick up the student.

Can my child's siblings walk over to LCEL to get picked up in the car rider line?

Unfortunately no, for the safety of our students and staff, only LCEL students are allowed on our campus.

Can I pick my child up after 2:15?

District policy is that no students can be signed out after 2:15.
