Hours of Operation
Kelly Mill: Before the Bell begins at 6:40 a.m. and ends at 7:40 a.m., Monday-Friday. The program will not operate on teacher workdays or district holidays. On days when there is a delayed start, Before the Bell will start late respectively.
Kelly Mill: Beyond the Bell begins after dismissal and ends at 6:00 p.m., Monday-Friday. The program will not operate on teacher workdays, half days, or on days that school is dismissed early due to inclement weather. Students may attend BTB when they attend Kelly Mill Med Pro Middle School in-person.

Program Description
Kelly Mill: Beyond the Bell Afterschool Program (BTB) is a structured program promoting the academic and social development of the middle school child. A snack is provided each day, followed by homework help. Certified teachers are available to assist with homework help and academic counseling. Students may sign out to go to tutoring, clubs, and practice. A recreation hour will be provided each day beginning at 4:30 p.m.
Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Before the Bell: Students should be dropped off at the cafeteria door from the bus loop at the back of the school no earlier than 6:40 a.m. At 7:40 a.m., students will be dismissed to go to either the cafeteria for breakfast or to the gym.
Beyond the Bell: Students should report directly to the cafeteria for attendance upon school dismissal. Afternoon parent pickup will be in the cafeteria. For safety reasons, we will require picture IDs for parents or other authorized adults when signing out students daily. We will not release students to individuals without the parent 's or guardian's approval.
Please come to the door and hold up your picture ID. A staff member will email you your child's name and pick-up time for your records. A staff member will record your child’s time of departure.
Registration Fee
A one-time annual registration fee of $25 should be paid online for each student prior to attendance in the program. This fee is non-refundable.
Tuition
Before the Bell only - $25/week
Beyond the Bell only - $60/week
Both Before and Beyond the Bell - $75/week
A 10% Military or K-12 educator discount for parents of students in the program is available with submission of valid current military or educator Picture ID card.
Payment is still required the days your student does not attend Kelly Mill: Beyond the Bell.
Weekly fees are due each Friday and paid online in Parent Portal. If an account has not been paid by Monday, a late charge of $10 will be applied to the account. Accounts must be kept current in order for your child(ren) to attend. Accounts that are two weeks delinquent will result in dismissal from the program.
Upon registration, all tuition and registration fees for the remainder of the year will be uploaded to Parent Portal. Parents are required to make weekly tuition payments, but may elect to pay additional amounts. A document on how to make partial payments is available

Late Pickup Fees
Pick-up Late Fees: Late pickup fees are as follows:
Late pickup 6:01 p.m. - 6:15 p.m. is $1.00/minute
Late pickup 6:16 p.m. - thereafter is $5.00/minute
Children that are picked up late more than three times may be dismissed from the program.
Withdrawal from the Program
Should circumstances change and you wish to withdraw your child from the Beyond the Bell program, please notify the director in writing as soon as possible at dbennett@richland2.org. Any fees owed must be paid in full at this time.
Behavior
Proper behavior is expected and school and district discipline policies will be enforced at all times. Parents will be notified if a child behaves inappropriately. Continued inappropriate behavior may result in your child being dismissed from the program. Severe infractions will result in the immediate dismissal of your child from the program.
Insurance
Students not covered under their parent's insurance policy should obtain school insurance.
Health and Medical Issues
In the case of injury or an emergency health problem, we will contact the parent(s) immediately. If the parent(s) cannot be reached, we will contact the child's physician and/or EMS. Until the arrival of the parent, the physician, EMS, or the Director will make medical decisions for the child.
Signout
All individuals other than parents will be asked to show a picture ID in order to signout students.
