Hello Killian family and friends. I am Marlena Gore and I am so excited about serving as one of the Assistant Principals at Killian Elementary School. Education has always been my calling.

I began teaching 11 years ago at Joseph Keels Elementary. While at Joseph Keels, I taught third grade for 6 years and served as the Curriculum Coach for 2 years. In my 10th year of education, I was presented with the opportunity to work with a Race to the Top Grant. During this year, I supported schools and district level personnel as an Enterprise Learning Coach. With this position, I was able to guide students, teachers, administrators, and parents to embrace the learning needs of the 21st Century learner.

This year is my second year at Killian Elementary School. I am so proud to say that I am a Leading Lion! Here at Killian Elementary School, we embrace the 21st Century learner. Through the many resources, materials, technology, and experiences we strive to provide an innovative curriculum, in a safe, nurturing environment that will prepare students to be productive citizens in a global society, Here at Killian, we realized the tremendous role we play in our students' futures and we do not take it lightly. We are growing leaders everyday and are excited about the opportunity you have given us to serve you and your children!
