SWAG Tutoring (After-school Tutoring Program)

The E.L Wright AfterSchool Tutoring Program runs from the end of the first quarter until the last Tuesday in April. Students who scored "NOT MET" in either ELA or MATH on the previous year's PASS test are invited to participate. Students receive tutoring in all four content areas (Math, ELA, Science, and Social Studies) from a certified teacher. Students participate in weekly grade-checks and discussions with their tutor to encourage responsibility and accountability for their own success.

Students are placed into groups of 10-12 students with one tutor. Students should bring homework, classwork, and/or projects with them each week.

Tutoring begins immediately after school, and ends at 5 pm each Tuesday afternoon. Free transportation is available to all students who live in E.L. Wright's school zone. Car riders need to be picked up in the bus loop, located in front of the school. Students not picked up by 5:15 will be sent to Wright Care at a fee of $15 per visit.
