A wide range of extra-curricular activities and athletic teams are transported on the district's activity vehicles and school buses, bringing the annual number of miles driven to well over 2.7 million.

The district has four transportation hubs: Killian, Richland Northeast, Special Needs and Activities (which supports the entire district for field trips).

For the 2021-2022 School Year: Richland School District Two is following the guidance of the South Carolina Department of Education (SCDE) to address COVID-19. Measures include opening windows and roof vents for increased ventilation and sanitizing buses between routes.

All students, staff (drivers and monitors), and adult passengers (chaperones, coaches, etc.) are required to wear masks/face coverings on school buses. This applies to regular route buses to and from school, and during extra-curicular (field) trips, including for athletics events.

Our mission is to transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner. The Transportation Department provides support for the following services: transportation to and from school for eligible students, field trips, special Services, after school programs and summer school programs.
