MANY CULTURES, ONE DISTRICT, MANY VOICES, ONE MESSAGE
Our goal is to help people identify what portions of their culture is important to them; to have people share why their culture is important and, ultimately, to show that even though we are each unique, we have more in common than we have that is different.
In April 2020, our Culture messages will be prepared and displayed for the public to view at our Inclusion 2020 culminating event, an opening night Culture exhibit.
Through a series of prompts, people will answer a question about themselves, their school or the district. Responses may be recorded and posted to social media using #R2Culture. Videos and pictures may be forwarded to the Office of Diversity and Multicultural Inclusion at firstname.lastname@example.org.
From April 2019 through April 2020, through video, signs, pictures, artifacts, recordings, etc. our Richland 2 family will share their cultures and in April 2020 we will exhibit the collection in a culminating event.
Please join the Richland Two family as we take a year to explore our Culture. We want to learn something about each of you and, through learning about you individually, we will learn about us as a district.
We look forward to learning and growing together over the course of the year.
