Frequently Asked Questions
Where do I take my classes?
You will attend school here at the Charter High School during our morning or afternoon sessions. While nearly all class content is available online, you will meet daily with teachers in English, Mathematics, and Science, as well as our Work-Based Learning Coordinator and Lab Monitor depending on your current schedule. We have partnered with Richland School District Two to provide your classes via the Virtual High School already established within the district. Students have access to our full-time English teacher, math teacher, work-based learning coordinator, school counselor, and lab specialist.
Can I finish one subject area before starting another?
We don't think this is a good idea. Upon enrollment you'll be given 4 courses to complete within a semester (excepting EOC courses, which are year long). You may finish these early, but you should not take longer than the allotted semester. Taking too long would put you behind academically and put you in danger of remaining in the same grade. You can go faster than you could at a traditional school, but you cannot go slower.
How many students are you accepting?
We can enroll a maximum of 120 students.
Do I pay tuition to attend the Richland Two Charter High School?
There is absolutely no tuition to attend the Richland Two Charter High School.
What are the graduation requirements at the Richland Two Charter High School?
In addition to the South Carolina graduation requirements, all students must complete the entire sequence of our Leadership course. This course is designed to provide soft skills training, financial literacy education, career readiness certification opportunities, post-secondary education resources, and career guidance. This course sequence must be completed in order to be eligible to graduate from the Richland Two Charter High School.
Will I graduate with my class at my old high school?
You will be awarded a South Carolina High School Diploma upon your graduation and will graduate with the students at the Richland Two Charter High School, not at the high school for which you were previously zoned.
